mat pilates
Joe Pilates based his work on three principles: Breath, whole-body health and whole-body commitment; with the whole-body incompassing mind, body and spirit. In this mat class, we follow a classical pilates flow that works on balance, flexibility, core strength, posture and breath! We may move slow...but its work!! Become connected to your body in a new way in our 1 hour class! Beginner to advanced welcome!
reformer pilates
With focused movements, Pilates promotes strength, stability, and flexibility of the entire body. Private and Duo reformer sessions focus on use of specialized equipment to promote optimal movement and full-body strengthening. All levels welcome!
chair pilates
Great for seniors and beginners, this 1 hour class combines breath work, stretching, strength, core work and balance all while remaining in a chair! We do stand occasionally but it’s not necessary if you'd prefer to sit!
pilates hiit
A quick & effective high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout combining low impact classical Pilates moves both standing & laying on the mat to focus on strength, balance, & flexibility. This class will get your heart rate up without any jumping! Beginner to Advanced welcome.
Core balance
In this class, we use seated and standing stretches and exercises, supported with a chair. So this is a perfect class for seniors or beginners (or anyone) who wants to work on Balance, Breathwork, Posture, Strength, etc! We will use a combination of Pilates, Yoga, & Tai Chi for a well rounded workout.
rise & shine yoga
Learn basic yoga poses with options available for all levels. With this class, you will learn functional purposes for poses and how they work to improve strength, balance and flexibility, as well as breathing techniques to calm the nervous system.
everything yoga
A combination of power yoga (focused on building strength and endurance) and cardio, ending in a cool down and savasana.
power yoga
A fitness based series of poses in continuous, flowing movement linked to breathing patterns. You'll get a full body workout to boost your strength, endurance, flexibility, and relaxation. Cued for beginners to intermediate levels.
hot yoga
Hot yoga refers to different yoga styles that take place in warm and heated room for a more intense workout. Similar to traditional yoga, hot yoga offers a range of benefits to mental and physical health, flexibility, and overall well-being.
chair yoga
This chair class is designed for all fitness levels. Areas of focus include strengthening, posture, balance, and stretching. Every class ends with a seated savasana.
circuit yoga
Class includes fairly equal parts of cardio, strength training and yoga. Bring a pair of tennis shoes incase the mood strikes and we go outside!
barre
A session of full body work! Barre is designed to work those tiny muscles in your body to help support the larger ones and to help with balance and posture. In barre you learn to "embrace the shake" and feel the burn of your muscles, to know that you are changing your muscles! All levels.
barre 45 am
Designed to get you in and out quick before the work day starts, Barre 45 is exactly what it sounds like! 45 minutes of barre work complete with warm up and stretch then you’re ready for a great and productive day!
circuit Strong
Circuit style class with barre and strength training moves. 45 seconds at each station and multiple rounds. Certain to challenge you and get your heart rate up!
Barre fusion
Get ready for all of your favorite things in 1 class! 20 minutes of barre work, 20 minutes of core, and 20 minutes of yoga/stretch.
tabata/hiit
Tabata is a high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout with timed intervals and short recovery times. It is 20 seconds of work, followed by 10 seconds of rest. This is a full body workout, with cardio portions worked in. It is designed to go hard, fast, or heavy for 20 seconds and then take a rest. Interval training is a great combo to barre, pilates, and yoga.
pound
The workout combines cardio, Pilates, isometric movements and plyometrics with constant simulated drumming – all to loud, upbeat music. dance fitness
Every class is an exhilarating PARTY! This fun-filled, 60- minute interval training workout, will combine all elements of fitness- cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, and flexibility. By mixing low and high intensity moves, dance fitness is an effective way to burn calories, boost energy, improve heart health, and burn fat. You’ll enjoy beats from several different music genres of music (hip hop, pop, Latin, Christian, and rap). step cardio & strength
Grab your CLEAN tennis shoes and towel and make this your class! A little bit of step and cardio, a little bit of strength, a little bit of stretch, and a whole lot of laughs, this class has it all! If you have never taken step before, come on in! This class is for all levels and improves balance, coordination, strength, and endurance.
beginner barre
Join Dawn as she goes back to the Barre Basics! With this class she will move to counts of 8-16-24-32 to get you feeling the burn as you learn balance, flexibility and coordination! Great for all levels!
dance infusion
Where dance fitness meets resistance training. This 60 min workout will have all the fun energy and music you love about dance fitness PLUS choreographed resistance training infused throughout. This workout is designed to target all the major muscle groups of the body. You’ll leave class checking off cardio and resistance training for the day!
Body positive stretch/strength
Body Positive Chair Class is focused on gently moving your body in comfortable patterns to lubricate your joints and leave you feeling refreshed. You will focus on what your body CAN do, not on what it can’t do. This class will teach you how to treat your body kindly, and love it through all of its imperfections. If you feel intimidated by group classes, this class is for you!
Strength & Core
This full body workout includes 20 minutes of core focus on the mat, 20 minutes of upper body & lower body strengthening, & 5 minutes of stretch to complete 45 minutes of a total body burn!!
dance education
sound bath
One hour of sound vibrations using various instruments such as crystal and metal singing bowls, gong, chimes, and tuning forks played at frequencies to immerse you in ambient sound designed to resonate with your body and intended to help restore your body, reduce stress, and clear your mind while you stretch and rest in a sitting or standing position. Frequency vibrations are known to affect the body at a cellular level and facilitate a positive effect on health.
creative movement ballet
This 45-minute class is introduction to movement and dance for children ages 3-5. It encourages new ideas, listening and following direction, and becoming familiar with a dance studio.
ballet combo tap/jazz level 1
Children may begin or progress to this 1-hour combination class for ages 5-8. This class will set the foundation for dance education with ballet principles and introduction to other styles of dance. Children under age 6 must take Creative Movement Ballet before progression to Level 1.
ballet combo tap/jazz level 2
Children ages 9-12 who have progressed through Level 1 classes may continue dance education with this combination class. Advancement of knowledge, movement, and strength in dance will be the focus of these sessions.
ballet Technique
Dance education will progress to 1.5-hour sessions with focus on advanced movements, classical ballet technique, and pre-pointe strengthening. Students must have progressed through Level 2 skills and require instructor approval for classes.
parent & me
These beginner movement classes are for parents with children ages 2 & 3. In this class, the children will explore movement with music, props, teacher guidance and have an opportunity to have fun and connect with their parent/guardian/family member! These 45-minute classes will be scheduled in 4-week sessions during the regular dance education semesters.
ballet Pointe
Ballet students who take concurrent Ballet Technique classes may participate in pointe classes with instructor approval. These classes will focus on proper technique, safety, and injury prevention while on pointe.
Teen/Adult ballet & tap
These classes are open to teens and adults ages 13 and up with some level of dance background. Students who have progressed through Level 2 may take this class to continue dance education. Adults who have been away from the dance world may also join this class as a form of exercise and connection to the movement arts.
*Please note that Dance Education semesters are scheduled August - December, January - May, and special summer sessions June - July. Dancers are expected to attend a full semester of classes.
